C’est pour vous les jeunes ! que vous ayez ou non envoyé votre travail immortel à l’ESPGHAN, envoyez-le au YIF ! Demandez aux « alumni » (NDT : anciens élèves) si cette expérience unique ne les a pas fortifiés/stimulés/encouragés/confortés dans leur (excellente) idée de continuer à faire briller, croître et embellir notre belle spécialité, pour le plus grand bien et bonheur de nos jeunes patients…
Pour les moins jeunes : le Young Investigator Forum ne coûte rien au chef et lui rapporte beaucoup, alors libérez-les…
Tous les trucs sur les abstracts / présentations / articles / recherche, en innglich (pour parler il faut parler, on se fiche de l’accent et la grammaire) ; dans une atmosphère dynamiquement amicale, de la nutrition et de l’hépatologie pratiques (…), de la fitness positive… Il faut (cf extraits du site ci-dessous):
– être encore jeune (limites pouvant être discutées…) ,
– un résumé : pas “Nature Medicine”, mais pas un case report (si vous avez un doute, demandez-moi), de la GHN, éventuellement déjà présenté (il faut du matériel pour travailler);
– un CV,
– et une lettre de soutien d’un membre de l’ESPGHAN (ça peut être moi si besoin),
– à envoyer sur le site de l’ESPGHAN (Home -> educational activities -> YIF)
– avant le 15 août.

Definition of Young Investigator: Active clinical or laboratory based researcher, ideally less than 10 years working in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. Delegates may not attend more than one forum.
Delegates: the forum is aimed at young investigators who are developing their research career and are committed to working in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and/or nutrition in Europe. It is not aimed at experienced researchers who are already principal investigators with grant funding, or at workers who are intent on a career outside of Europe.
Abstract: the abstract should be divided into Background/Aims, Methods, Results, Summary/Conclusions. It is important that the abstract includes data from your research activity and doesn’t describe plans for the future without any actual data. Single case reports are less likely to be successful unless they have an important message of wide relevance.
Letter of Support – the ESPGHAN member who is supporting you should give some information about your current situation and your state of training.
CV – this should be relatively brief but include basic information and any items that are relevant to your gastroenterology/hepatology/nutrition experience and training, plus any presentations to national and international meetings and any publications (including abstracts).
Registration fee: participation to the Forum is free of charge for approved delegates.
Delegates are expected to attend the full course and arrange their travel according to the course schedule. The course language is English.
